St Tropez Lovin'

As Winter looms upon us and our sun kissed skin begins to fade, our desire for an everlasting tan is stronger than ever.

My secret...St Tropez. And I'm not talking about the place.

I have experienced first hand the consequences of many self tanning company's and its safe to say that the 'wotsit' look is not my favourite.

However, you'll be more bronzed goddess than terribly tangoed if you use St Tropez self tan and once you've used their gorgeous products, there is no going back.

Here is my 'St Tropez goody box!'

St Tropez comes in a range of different forms, from an instant tan classic gel to a gradual tan everyday mousse.

The self tan classic gel is personally my favourite because it gives an all over natural looking tan and is so easy to apply. The gel is also designed to eliminate the distinctive fake tan smell by up to 70% so nobody has to know you are even wearing it!

This product also gives an instant and noticeable glow which is perfect for a last minute tan.

Another essential in my 'St Tropez goody box' is the self tan classic bronzing spray. I always use this when I'm looking for a quick boost of colour. The spray provides extremely good coverage and a gorgeous even tan.

I would also highly recommend the gradual tan everyday face moisturiser. By using this in conjunction with the body self tan it will prevent any colour contrasts between your face and body. I have also found that this moisturiser has often reduced the blemishes on my face much like when you are exposed to natural sun light!

As well as this, I would suggest getting yourself an applicator mitt. Tanning your whole body can take some time and without the use of a glove you risk temporarily staining your hands. On top of this, they also help to give a smoother finish to the completed outcome.

Should you fake tan regularly, I think it is worth investing in the tan optimiser body polish and the tan optimiser body moisturiser.

The polish prepares your body for self tanning by gently exfoliating the skin, in particular, on dryer areas such as your knees and elbows which helps to prolong your stunning new tan.

The moisturiser keeps your skin hydrated and feeling smooth to ensure perfect coverage when the self tan is applied.

I hope that you love these amazing products just as much as I do! Lots of love, Kenzie xxx

Autumn Style Guide

It's that time of week again, we've all got the Monday blues and we're already looking for that Friday feeling.

In an attempt to give you a glimmer of hope for the forthcoming week, I have put together an outfit perfect for a casual day time look throughout the Autumn.

And it gets better! I have selected all of my chosen items from the River Island sale. So not only will you be looking undeniably gorgeous this season but you'll also be managing your money wisely.

To begin creating this beautiful style, I have picked this white slub batwing top. This forms the basis for the rest of the outfit and acts as a blank canvas to build upon. It is slightly over sized to contrast nicely with the tight fitting jeans and looks great either tucked in or hanging out. (Was £14.00, Sale Price £7.00)

These denim tube pants are super cute and look even better when teamed with an oversized top. The star print sides of the jeans and the high waisted feature gives a fun and flattering finish. (Was £40.00, Sale Price £20.00)

I chose this bright pink lightweight scarf because it adds a feminine pop of colour, as well as bringing a sophisticated feel to the ensemble. (Was £13.00, Sale Price £5.00)

This bag is AMAZING. The stud detail gives the outfit some character and a cool stylish edge and the tan colour of the shoulder bag goes perfectly with the simple jeans and top combo. Not only will it look fab with this look but the neutral colour will ensure that it goes with loads of other pieces so that you're not having to splash out on another bag any time soon. (Was £45.00, Sale Price £25.00)

Finally to accessorise, I have picked out these mega glamorous gold tone earrings. The gold works stunningly with the tanned bag and would look particularly striking with an up do to really show them off! (Was £12.00, Sale Price £4.00)

This bracelet works with both the earrings and the lightweight scarf, having elements of pink and gold charms. This statement piece concludes the finalised look and is such a pretty item. (Was £10.00, Sale Price £4.00)

Tanned ankle boots can be added to top off this effortless day time look.

All of these items can be found HERE I hope that this has made your Monday a little easier. Lots of love, Kenzie xxx

OPI Pure Lacquer Nail Apps

You've just finished doing your hair, you still need to to pick out an outfit and you're already 30 minutes late, a situation that, no doubt, most girls are familiar with.

But it's not until you finally make it out of the front door that you realise you have forgotten to paint your nails.

I was once a a victim of such a predicament until... I discovered OPI's Pure Lacquer Nail Apps!

So say au revoir to smudges and chips ladies because these transfers are effectively stickers that leave your nails looking more pristine then ever in an instant.

To achieve this look, place the strip on to a clean, dry nail and smooth out any unwanted ridges. To finish, you crease the strip over the edge of the nail and file off the excess in a soft downward motion. It really is as simple and as easy as that.

These nail polish applications come in a range of finishes, from creams to shimmers and each pack comes with 16 strips to guarantee a perfect fit for all finger nails.

I chose the gold lace style to team with a black peplum dress and gold platform heels. Here's a picture of the finished product!

So if like me, you are a last minute kind of gal then these quick and easy nail strips are the ones for you!   Lots of love, Kenzie xxx

Rocking the Tube Skirts This Autumn

Despite saying goodbye to bikinis and short shorts and hello to wooly scarves and jumpers, it seems that Summers biggest fashion necessity is here to stay. The tube skirt!

Understandably, the change from Summer to Winter comes with mixed emotions. But thankfully we won't have to fret over rearranging our wardrobes entirely because tube skirts are still a big statement this season.

Potentially being one of the most versatile and flattering pieces I have ever seen, tube skirts dominate my wardrobe.

Whether you are dressing them up or down, these figure hugging skirts add a touch of class to any ensemble. Teamed with a leather jacket and a pair of your favourite converse, a bright tube skirt (to add a pop of colour) would complete your look perfectly. If however you're more of a sophisticated chick than a rock chick, add a pair of nude heels to a coloured skirt, topped off by a cropped knitted jumper.

Proving that this piece is still a huge hit, Kimberley Walsh opted for a pastel coloured tube skirt as she stepped out at her recent book signing in her home town of Bradford.

As stated by the Mail Online, 'No one's looking at the book!' And how right they are. Her quilted tube skirt suited her figure remarkably by accentuating her minuscule waist and elongating her legs.

Now, I know what you're thinking...short of robbing a bank, how can I afford to buy this look? Well think again because the former Girls Aloud star picked this up from our high street favourite, Topshop for an incredible £25!

The quilted design of the skirt makes this Summer craze a much more suitable Autumn collectable. So if like Kimberley and myself you have a small waist but a little more junk in the trunk then this should be your go to item!

Thats it from me for today but remember girlys, everyday is a fashion show and the world is your runway! Lots of love, Kenzie xxx

Winged Out Eyeliner

When faced with the question, 'If you could only take one product from your make up bag to a desert island, what would it be?' My response would be simple, liquid eyeliner.

'Why?' I hear you say. Well, liner can recreate the shape of the eye by giving the illusion that it has a much fuller shape than it actually does. It also helps to elongate the eye for a much more feminine 'smize.' (All of my fellow America's Next Top Model enthusiasts will know that this means smiling with your eyes!)

I know what you're thinking, liquid eyeliner is a recipe for disaster. But however cliche it may be, practice really does make perfect. So don't be afraid to get it wrong, experiment and find out what works for you.

I'm going to be talking to you about the winged out liner today, a classic pin up look that never goes out of style.

My favourite eye liner at the moment is by Barry M. (£4.79) The brush is very thin and it's really easy to apply.

Before applying your liner, position your mirror slightly below you so that you are looking down. This will help to avoid jagged edges and create a smoother finish.

Using small strokes, start applying the eye liner from the inner corner and work your way out. It's important to keep the inner part of your lash line thin so that when you reach the edges you can create your gorgeous wing shape.

Now for the hard part! Once you have reached the middle of the eye, it is time to start thickening your line which you will later connect to the wing. I start my wing from the end of my bottom lash line and drag it in the direction of the end of my eyebrow. You can drag the wing out as far as you would like, however I find that the shorter it is the more natural the over all look.

Once you have achieved your desired wing length, connect the wing to the eye liner that you have previously drawn across your top lash line. At this stage I use a cotton bud to neaten up any imperfections and this should create the finished product!

If this is your first time trying the winged look, then grab some tape and place it on the outer corner of your eye from your lower lash line to the end of your eyebrow. This gives a template for the winged part of this particular look.

You may also find it easier to apply your liner whilst stabilising your hand. I tend to rest my elbow on a flat surface and pull my eye back slightly with my weaker hand. This makes a smooth area for the application of the eyeliner with my strong hand.

My top tip? Take a well deserved break! Eye liner can be a really difficult product to get used to so don't be afraid to stop during the process for a little breather.

Lauren Conrad (Pictured above) is one of the many celebrities that frequently sports this girly and sophisticated look.

I really hope that this blog will make your next eyeliner experience a happy one! Please feel free to request any beauty tips or just leave a comment. Lots of love, Kenzie xxx

Wedding Make Up

Hello fellow bloggers and readers, thank you for stopping by my page! I'm a complete newbie to the blogosphere but I can already tell that it's going to be so much fun! I have a huge love and passion for make up and fashion. From gorgeous red apple lips to my very favourite signature look, the winged out liner.

As a budding journalist, I decided to create a blog to share fashion and make up advice and opinions whether it be on my own style or that of the celeb world!

I recently did my very gorgeous cousins make up for her wedding day earlier in the month and I must admit, I was a little nervous. Bridal make up has so much potential for disaster but at the same time so much potential for magic.

We kept the look very classic and simplistic, with very neutral colours to open up the eyes and to ensure that they stood out in photographs. We also opted for bright lips and a blusher to contrast nicely with the purity of the white dress. The Chanel cream blush (£27.00) gives a lovely satiny finish. I used the colour 'inspiration' on Laura which really helped to accentuate her cheekbones. I usually go for a blusher that is the same shade as my natural lip colour which also helps to enhance the 'natural look' that many women strive for on their big day. To finish, I used Estée Lauder's double wear loose powder (£28.50) to set the make up and to create a long lasting flawless look.

If however you're looking to go for a bolder image for your wedding make up then enhance the eye's by adding eyeliner along the top and bottom lash line. I really recommend MAC ebony eye pencil. (£14.00) This creates a much more dramatic feel to the over all look.

Here is a picture of the beautiful bride on her special day.

I can't wait to explore all that the beauty world has to offer with you all. Lots of love, Kenzie xxx
